The Connected Solution for Urine Microbiology

--

As a pioneer in antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST), we strive to improve and innovate our product line for the benefit of our laboratory partners and, most importantly, to improve patient outcome.

Our new Mast Uri® Connect is one such innovation, building upon the principles of our well-established Mast Uri® System:

  • Urinalysis made simple – direct and phenotypic results with minimal user touch time
  • Reduced turnaround time (TAT) and high sample throughput via multipoint methodology as recommended by PHE1
  • Indicates organism identification, and tests antibiotic sensitivity and antimicrobial resistance in 18 hours

The Mast Uri® Connect suite of devices assist the user at every step of the urinalysis process to produce traceable and clinically relevant results.

What’s new with the Mast Uri® Connect:

  • Notable software upgrades, including a new, comprehensive sample validation screen, an overhauled dispensing experience and a built-in audit trail
  • End-to-end sample traceability, facilitated by the inclusion of a barcoded template in every plate set and integrated barcode scanners on every device
  • With integrated EUCAST-aligned reading rules – helping guide the user release of clinically relevant results

Our most innovative device, the Mast Uri® Autoprep Connect, is our new front-end automation option, that alleviates the need for manual urine dispensing. With automated barcode recognition, sample tube decapping/recapping and urine dispensing, this dispensing option mitigates human error and eliminates the risk of repetitive strain injury (RSI).

Still key to the Mast Uri® Connect are the Mast Uri® Plates

  • Economically and environmentally advantageous, their 96 well format facilitate the multipoint testing and dramatically reduce plastic and agar wastage
  • Customisable antibiotic panel allows the user to produce a bespoke plate set of EUCAST breakpoint plates
  • Observe antibiotic sensitivity and identification down to 104 CFU/mL, with the option to identify growth and broad-spectrum identification down to 103 CFU/mL if required
