Our range of ready-to-use biochemical, antibiotic and control media supplied in a 96 well format are formulated specifically to aid in the diagnosis of urinary tract infections (UTI’s). When used as part of the Mast Uri® Connect or Mast Uri® System, Mast Uri® Plates facilitate the reporting of ~95% of results at 24 hours.
Mast Uri® Plates provide the user with phenotypic results, produced directly from the patient sample. When a collection of plates are used together as part of a plate set, they provide the user with:
- Sample Culture: Our non-selective Mueller Hinton agar used in our Control Plates indicate whether an infection is significant, and provide a pure culture available for further testing if required
- Presumptive Organism Identification: Produced by our range of Identification Plates, these allow for the differentiation of monomicrobial and polymicrobial infections, aiding in the interpretation of the infection and the subsequent guiding clinical decisions
- Antibiotic Sensitivity Profile: Perform direct susceptibility testing (DST) using our range of our Mueller Hinton-based Antibiotic Plates that align with EUCAST-specified breakpoint concentrations
- Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Screening: Generated by our developing AMR portfolio, these aim to help guide clinical decisions in the fight against antimicrobial resistance
