Serum Amyloid (SAA)
Explore our Serum Amyloid (SAA)
SAA is a latex agglutination test that has been designed for the measurement of SAA protein in serum. SAA test permits the early detection of tissue injury, infection and inflammation by optically measuring the change in turbidity caused by the agglutination of the latex particles sensitised with SAA antibodies. Eiken SAA is extremely popular in clinical veterinary science and can be used to monitor injury recovery in a number of animal species. Eiken SAA has been validated for use on a range of birds of prey, domestic, captive and livestock animals.
