MAST® BLOOD AGAR BASE is a general-purpose culture medium supplied as a dehydrated powder, enabling end users to prepare a suitable medium for the cultivation of bacteria and fungi. When supplemented with sterile defibrinated blood, the blood agar base becomes a non-selective medium that is suitable for observing and determining typical haemolytic reactions.
