FIT Product Specialist

We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and conscientious Product Specialist - FIT to join the team which is field based, the location for the candidate would be preferably be in south east / M4 corridor and/or M1 corridor but works from Daresbury site when in the northwest. The job holder will be an integral part of the FIT team, ensuring the correct support is provided for both Sales and promotional activities in the UK and further afield. The successful candidate should be willing to actively engage and contribute their technical knowledge, to aid the progression of portfolio development, bringing relevant products to successful manufacture and commercialisation.

THE ROLE

• Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to maximise customer insights and expand networks that attract new clients.
• Act as a customer-facing product specialist, providing sales and technical presentations, handling enquiries and troubleshooting, supporting account planning, conducting site visits, overseeing analyser installations, and delivering user training.
• Maintain strong technical and market knowledge as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the sales team in developing and delivering compelling value propositions to prospects and customers in line with Mast Group Ltd’s strategic objectives.
• Ensure Market Penetration is constantly expanding, relative to the competitive landscape whilst protecting profitability.
• Identify new product opportunities for Mast, in particular for the FIT/specialist biochemistry market
• Provide timely market insights and communicate significant changes or developments to support effective marketing and management decisions.
• Analyse competitor strengths and weaknesses and recommend strategies to enhance competitive positioning.
• Collaborate closely with the internal teams to maximise business outcomes.
• Lead market launches for new products, including training sales teams and appropriate colleagues.
• Contribute to the completion of tender documentation as required.

THE PERSON

• BSC in BMS, Biochemical science or Biochemistry
• At least 3 years sales experience within the UK IVD market or be a qualified BMS
• Experience of using FIT is a distinct advantage
• Commercial or marketing experience is desirable as is NHS lab experience
• Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and strong influencer across varying organisational levels
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft and Bioinformatic packages
• Willingness to travel as the role requires – installs, training, troubleshooting, conferences, meetings etc
• Willingness to travel internationally as required including Germany and France who are intercompany locations
