We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and conscientious Product Specialist – Molecular to join the team to be based around the Midlands (Bristol upwards towards the Midlands). There will be a requirement for the job holder to travel to our Daresbury site for meetings and other work-related activities, and other locations such as Bootle and Deeside when required for the purpose of carrying out the duties of the role. The job holder will be an integral part of the team, supporting the Sales Account Managers in developing opportunities to increase revenue of Mast Molecular product range and applying their understanding to drive success in the field.

THE ROLE

  • Relevant experience of working in a role requiring UK travel which is customer facing.
  • Experience of developing technical support plans for customer needs.
  • Support in the development of opportunities within molecular sales.
  • Experience of presenting value proposition to prospective clients / customers.
  • Experience of working closely with other departments such as Product Managers, Marketing, Sales, R & D and Operations both internally and externally.
  • Ability to support the business commercial strategy regarding molecular products.
  • Supporting other areas of the business such as FIT as required.
  • Experience and understanding of R & D development projects.

 

THE PERSON

  • Full driving licence with regular travel required.
  • A BSc in BMS or Molecular biology is essential
  • Experience of working in the UK IVD market.
  • Ability to adapt to w changing working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workload according to requirements.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use Microsoft and Bioinformatic packages.
  • Ability to attend Daresbury site for team meetings or when required.

In addition to the specified duties the employee is expected to perform additional tasks when reasonably called upon to do so.
