Facilities Manager

We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and conscientious Facilities Manager to join the team based across Mast locations in Bootle, Daresbury and Deeside. The job holder will be an integral part of the team, ensuring all Mast premises are maintained and serviced in line with legal and compliance requirements. The successful candidate should be willing to actively engage and contribute their technical knowledge, to ensure the daily maintenance of all UK Mast buildings, being the main point of escalation and knowledge.

THE ROLE

· Responsibility for the effective delivery of facilities management, ensuring the provision of services that are fit for purpose and cost competitive

· Management of the team including maintenance, housekeeping and sub-contractor cleaning and security services.

· Management of waste disposal from general waste, electrical waste, laboratory and production waste.

· Maintain legal and compliance levels in all activities and ensure environmental, health and safety regulations are adhered to.

· Ensure a cost-effective approach to all activities and that they are aligned to business requirements.

· Supervision of electrical work with external contractors.

· Support IT with management and care of CCTV and security systems.

· Carry out routine site inspections establishing any need for repairs.

· Ensuring at all times that the business is not adversely affected by any operational service requirements or downtimes.

· Responsible for development of a site infrastructure improvement plan to present to directors.

· Responsible for tenders and negotiations of outside contractor services, working closely with legal to ensure contracts are legally compliant.

· Utility management including negotiation for best prices.

· Support the business Carbon reduction plan.

In addition to the specified duties the Facilities Manager is expected to perform additional tasks that the company may require.

THE PERSON

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities management.

· Hold IOSH Managing safety.

· GCSE math and English, A-levels or other qualifications in relevant fields.

· Hold a full driving license.

· Experience of managing a team across multiple sites.

· Experience of project management.

· Experience within a manufacturing environment and management of hard and soft services.

· Site audit experience.

· Experience of contractor management is essential.

· Ability to travel across all UK sites (Daresbury, Deeside and Bootle).

In addition to the specified duties the employee is expected to perform additional tasks when reasonably called upon to do so.
